Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust

The Duchess has been Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust since it began and opened the first unit in 1990 at the Middlesex Hospital in London.

Since then she has opened most of the new units including University College London with Princess Beatrice in 2006, and St James’s University Hospital in Leeds with Princess Eugenie in 2008 and Cardiff University Hospital in July 2009.

The Duchess is well recognised as a passionate advocate for wellness and education worldwide. She has also written a number of books including a 12 book series called ‘Helping Hands’ with Lloydspharmacy and a four book children’s series about the adventures of Little Red. The Duchess was a Producer on the film ‘The Young Victoria’, released in the UK in March 2009.
