Teenage Cancer Trust's blue print
Teenage Cancer Trust work with each Principle Treatment Centre working to develop units as part of new hospital builds and refurbish new and old hospitals wards.
We have a design blue print that has been developed over many years, ensuring that patient centred facilities are provided within the context of the clinical function of the environment.
Safety is paramount and Teenage Cancer Trust can demonstrate how unique design and clinical facilities can be brought together to provide exciting and stimulating hospital facilities that meet the expectations of teenagers and young adults.
Aspirations
Teenage Cancer Trust projects aspire to challenge standards of hospital design. We aim to provide a healthcare enviroment which promotes well-being, recovery and creates a centre of excellence for adolescent cancer patients to be treated.

This diagram indicates the adjacencies between the different rooms forming a Teenage Cancer Trust Unit. It highlights the importance of grouping rooms by use: social, sleeping and utility. A successful unit will separate noisy activities from quiet areas. (Any references to numbers are indicative only).
